Foto Folio Mini

Hello scrappers,

I don't know if you're all like me but I wake up in the mornings thinking
of new ideas for my next project.  It's like a rush, wanting to
work on something, anything because that's what we love to do.
Especially when we are close to a holiday, we try to come up
with a creative way to make something handmade for a loved one.
I just love giving my family members a mini album (sometimes
not so mini lol).  I know they appreciate that I took the time to make
them something they will cherish for many years to come
and fill it up with memories they have enjoyed throughout their lives.

So, we are close to Christmas and we must hurry if we are
to make those mini albums for a special someone.  Today I'm sharing
with you a mini album which the famous Kathy Orta from Paper Phenomenon
has inspired me to create.  Kathy has a tutorial for Foto Folio Mini's, I must say I
purchased it and I love it.  My foto folio mini is much smaller than Kathy's and
the layout inside is different but more or less it's the same concept.
You can always mix and match flaps and pockets to your own liking.
This mini album holds up to 42 photos but you can always
add more mats on the pockets for more pics.

Here are some pics and my YouTube video.

I hope you have enjoyed my foto folio mini, please be sure to check out Kathy's website Paper Phenomenon to pick up her Foto Folio Mini's tutorial.

Until next time,
Ana

Foto Folio 3

Hi fellow scrappers,

I'm sharing today one of Kathy Orta's tutorial called Foto Folio's.  The
folio I made is Foto Folio #3, side loading envelope style.  I have to
say that I love Kathy's projects and these folio's are so
easy to make.  Kathy encourages you to mix and match different inserts
to create a different look and in my video you will see that I added to this folio
other flaps and pockets.

My paper choice were Simple Stories "The Story of Us" and I also
used papers from My Mind's Eye.
The papers from Simple Stories is a wedding collection and I loved the colors
and designs for my photos.  To replace some wedding phrases on some
of the journaling cards I simply cut out strips of paper and glued them
on top and added some other word stickers over them.

Here is my YouTube video which takes you through my pages.

Kathy's tutorial has six different Foto Folio's you can make including a storage box.
Here is the link where you can purchase it,

I hope you have enjoy another of my projects, I sure enjoyed matting and
arranging different inserts into this album.

Please leave some comments,

Until next time,
Ana

Butterfly Mini Album

Hi everyone,

For most of us school has started and we are trying to get back to our normal
routine after the summer vacation.
Most of us have hectic lives from getting the kids to school,
running errands, going to work, etc.
Sometimes we just need a break...and what better way
than to scrapbook (at least for me lol) and create,
whether it's a layout, mini album or home decor.

Today I'm sharing a fun mini album.  This mini can be perfect for
photos that you might have of a family get together,
birthday party or just a random group of photos that
you want to keep in small one album, (hint: perfect Christmas gift).

This mini is created with just four pieces of chipboard and
it actually fits seventeen photos, can you believe it!
Of course you can add as many photo mats you want inside
the pockets.

I made my mini in the shape of a tag.  All the edges of the chipboard
and papers are distressed with black soot ink from Ranger.

I cut out some designs from the paper pack cover onto my pages
such as the butterflies and small squares.

Here's my YouTube video I made on my "Butterfly Mini Album".

So let's take some time to ourselves and create this beautiful
mini album as a gift for someone or to place our own photos.

I hope you have enjoyed it and start creating!

Until next time,
Ana

My Summer Pics, part two

Hello,

Today I'm sharing the second part of my summer vacation.  We visited Cabo Rojo
Lighthouse.  It is called the "Lighthouse of the Red Cliffs".
This historical lighthouse was built in 1881.  As you will see the view is breathtaking!

Our next stop was to a forest called "La Marquesa" in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.
Here we enjoyed seeing different species of birds, enjoyed the butterfly conservatory, and hiked
through the forest.

Hiking through the forest.

This is the view from the top of a tower.

Next is our tour of Old San Juan.  There are lots of places to see from the Fort of San
Cristobal and of course  "The Morro"  (Fort of San Felipe del Morro) which is one of our main attractions.  You can enjoy walking down the cobblestone streets
of Old San Juan and the promenade which is lined up with street vendors.

A couple of my friends had mentioned a cave they explored and said that once you
reached the end of the cave the view was extraordinary, a must see.
I had heard of it but to walk inside a cave...where God knows what you might find inside!
Well I made sure we had bottled water, repellent spray and a flashlight.

The cave is called "Cueva Ventana" (the window cave) and
it is in the town of Utuado.

This is a trip we took last year but I wanted to share it with you today since I am posting
various sightseeing places throughout Puerto Rico.

We had to hike up a bit to reach the entrance of the cave.

This is the view once you come to the end of the cave.

You won't believe how fast I snapped this photo and rushed them to walk away
from the ledge lol.

These are only a couple of places in Puerto Rico that I have shown you.
We have a wide range of activities you can do
from kayaking, zipline to sightseeing.

I hope you have enjoyed my photos from my vacation and when you
are planning yours please consider visiting us.

Here is a website to help you plan your vacation to my beautiful island.
