Autumn's Arrival

Hi everyone!  Autumn is such a great season.  If there's one thing I miss the most of my hometown is this season where you feel that cool air, the leaves on the trees change color and you can go to the fields to pick pumpkins and apples, ah I wish I was there.  To remind me of all I'm missing, my sister sends me photos each year of her family picking pumpkins. It's such a fun time and they always buy pumpkin pie and apple cider, yummy!  Well hopefully I'll be able to enjoy this season next year with my family.

My Mind's Eye blog challenge 28 theme is "Fall".  The template to follow has 3 photos with the title running along the right hand side.

Here's my pick of the layout. The papers I used are Rosy "Love" Blossoms,  "Best of Friends" Celebrate from Lost & Found Two and Hazel "Mother" Ledger from Stella & Rose.  I cut the title using the cartridge "Cuttin' Up" from Cricut and the paper "Best of Friends" Lost & Found Two.  Laced ribbon and brads is from Stella & Rose, layered chipboad is from Lost & Found Two and the journal tag is from "So Sophie" collection.  Distress ink is Walnut from Ranger.

I hope you all enjoy my layout, until next time.

Layout of MME Challenge

I finally finished my layout for MME challenge.  I must admit that I really liked how the layout turned out.  The papers I used were from Lost & Found 1 & 2 as well as the brads, gems and ribbon.   The journal card is from MME So Sophie collection.  The letters are American Crafts (reality), they were white and I painted over them with acrylic paint, the sticker letters are of Provo Craft.  I used the distress tool of Tim Holtz around the circle and used distress ink around all the edges of the circle, journal card and journal strips.

I hope you enjoy my layout.  Hopefully I will start uploading more layouts on my blog.  Till next time.

MME Contest

It's that time again, MME monthly contest.  This time the theme is "Back to _________". I'm still working on my layout so hopefully I'll finish it by the deadline which is Sept. 25th.  If I feel up to it I'll probably participate in the card challenge as well.  This is the layout template of MME challenge #27.

Nasty Comments!

My habit of everyday is to go through my favorite blogs and check if there are new posts or layouts.  You can imagine my surprise when I read in Natasha's blog, moments-of-tranquility, how some scrappers leave comments to discourage her from creating beautiful pages. I don't know why anyone would try to put another person down, what do they get out of that! I just want to say that Natasha's work has inspired me in so many ways, from trying new techniques to making my own flowers. Thanks Natasha for sharing such gorgeous layouts, please don't let those ignorant comments stop you from doing what you love to do. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your creations.
